HF1MD was digitized, numerically control and has been very much improved. HF1MD had become easy to set up operations. Stick position and hydraulic pressure settings are numerically controlled, reproducibility is ensured. Operator has become easy to find the optimal machine settings then.
Good thing is that the operator can be confirmed by looking at the display while pressing. Evaluation of the shape and the quality of helix is ideally high. I can evaluate that production of spiral of large pitch became possible.”

We commissioned an HF1 MD VX flight forming machine from Helix Flight Manufacturing Machines to replace our aging conventional flight press. The improvements in productivity were instant, in both quality and press time. Our operators and support staff were given one days training on the new machine, the results were immediate. Because of the Ultra adjustable support system we were able to quickly achieve the desired setup after the first flight, then multiple flights formed to exacting conformity thereafter. We can now have a larger number of staff that are able to form flights with minimal cost optimising productivity and improving our output tenfold. We are very impressed with the consistent form we can now achieve from this machine with very little effort on the part of the operator, unlike our old press where training was a long costly operation and was very much a job for a skilled person with a good eye for detail.
