"In recent years, it was decided to introduce HF1MD to handle increased size to meet auger production enquiries of a large helix to the machine. HF1MD was digitised, numerically controlled and has been superbly improved. HF1MD had become easy to set-up for our intense operations. The stick position and hydraulic pressure settings are numerically controlled, making highly precise production ensured.
Our operator has found that the optimal machine settings are the best he has ever worked with. The best thing is that the operator can be confident looking at the visual display while he's making the pressing, knowing it will be perfect. Evaluation of the shape and the quality of helix is the highest we have seen. We evaluated that production of a spiral with a very large pitch became possible and without any problems, this has given us market advantage in our region."

"We commissioned an HF1 MD VX flight forming machine from Helix Flight to replace our ageing conventional flight press. The improvements in productivity were instant in both quality and speed of pressing time. Our operators and support staff were given only one days training on the new machine, amazingly the results seen and so quickly were immediate. Because of the Ultra-adjustable support system we were able to quickly achieve the desired set-up after the first flight, then multiple flights that we formed to exacting standards conformed perfectly thereafter.
We now have a larger number of staff that are able to form flights with minimal cost, so this has substantially optimised productivity and improved our production output by at least tenfold. We are very impressed with the consistent form we can now achieve from this machine with very little effort on the part of the operator, unlike our old press where training was a high-time and high-cost operation, and was very much a job for a highly trained and skilled person with an experienced eye for detail and accuracy.
Therefore, in summary regarding our new HF1 MD VX machine:
1) Training costs are kept to a bare minimum
2) Rejected helices are now at zero because the quality and accuracy really is that exceptional
